I’ve had the privilege of working with a number of inspiring, purpose-driven companies. Here are just a few examples of projects I loved.
District Management Group
Boston, MA
Interim marketing lead for an education consulting firm
I was hired by District Management Group to fill a gap in marketing leadership. After a comprehensive review of their existing marketing strategy, I developed a plan for areas to prioritize and improve, including product and service positioning, website architecture and copy, and lead generation strategy. I continue to manage ongoing communication plans, email campaigns, and sales enablement strategies for their team.
Denizens Brewing Co
Silver Spring & Riverdale Park, MD
Brand strategy, website and social content for a regional brewery
Denizens Brewing Co, a family-owned and operated brewery, had been operating successfully for seven years but was looking to solidify and amplify their brand as they expanded to a new location.
I helped the founding team develop their marketing goals, brand story, and messaging and translate that into web and social media content that speaks to beer experts and novices, long-time local residents and new arrivals to the community.
Ekotrope
Boston, MA
Content and growth strategy for an energy startup
I first partnered with Ekotrope during a transition in their marketing team. The company was looking for ways to increase its brand awareness and thought leadership yet had few resources to dedicate to this effort. I helped the team develop a system for content planning across their blog, newsletter, and LinkedIn page that provided a clear sense of the purpose of their content, how to maximize their team’s effort in creating and repurposing content across channels, and how to drive more organic traffic to their site.
At the same time, I supported two hiring processes for associate/manager-level roles in marketing and client account management. In just two months, the team was able to attract hundreds of applications, narrow the list down to several competitive finalists, and successfully hire their top choice for both roles.
Empatico
New York, NY
Brand strategy and growth for a nonprofit startup
Empatico is a digital platform that connects students around the world in order to develop empathy and understanding. I established, led, and expanded the marketing team, and in just three years helped the company reach over 40K classrooms across 150 countries.
I led the go-to-market strategy for the product’s launch and all new product releases. Through mostly organic tactics, our team grew the Empatico social community from zero to 60K+ across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube and email list from zero to 35K+. We designed multi-channel campaigns that consistently drove a high volume of website traffic and usage of the company’s product. I’m particularly proud of the user community and brand trust we built in such a short time.
